The Hive Preschool Program

Hi! I’m Emily, I went to college for Early Childhood Education and graduated in 2008. A few years after graduating I decided to open my own childcare in Fernie BC Canada. I ran my facility for 7 years and in that time worked very closely with Occupational therapists, Physical therapists and Speech pathologists. I learned so much and loved running my own center but closed my doors to travel and achieve some goals and dreams before becoming a stay at home mom to two boys. I missed working with children and began working for The Hive in February. I now have the opportunity to run a preschool program for The Hive Daycare with Amanda Johnson. We are both so excited and can’t wait to get started.

We have a classroom in Peterson Elementary school with a large outside space in the courtyard. Our day will start and end with outside play. We will have a play based curriculum with rotating themes within a fun, loving and safe environment.
